Eggleston

William Eggleston, one of my favorite photographers (and the man often credited for making the world take color photography seriously as an art form) is having a show at the Cheim & Read gallery here in NYC. What could be better than seeing 21st century works by Eggleston? The show is in tandem with rarely seen photography by Diane Arbus. Fwendtrip! A few favorites:

This blog, mymilktoof.blogspot.com, is so freakin cute. SO cute that if these photos weren’t well done I would hate it. But I think it’s just right. Here’s the deal:

When I was young, I placed my baby teeth under my pillow and when i woke up I’d find a shiny new quarter. But whatever happened to those little teeth? Where did they go? Would I ever see them again?

Many years later, a little tooth was standing at my door. It looked familiar. Its name was ickle. Welcome home, my milk toof!
