Choice Dumbo? Seating?…and I’m jealous.

We’ve all dreamt of the day when Clinton Hill’s Choice would have actual seating room and not be so damn packed with hungry Pratt kids, French speaking locals, and people willing to wait in line for 30 minutes for one cup of coffee (me). Dumbo’s Choice opens soon- and it looks pretty freakin’ huge (although, I gotta say- it lacks the usual charm of the two Choice Markets in my neighborhood). Whatever. Ellie, I’m officially jealous of you.

Arcade Fire + NFL = Not as random as I thought

If you watched the Superbowl last night, you were probably constantly scratching your head like we were every time you heard Arcade Fire’s “Wake Up” paired with epic football footage. This happened about 388,273,287 times. We chocked it up to the band just throwing their hands up in the air and taking a fat check, because come on, they kind of deserve it. Turns out the band (who already has had ties to Haiti and had a charity there), sold out so they could contribute all of the money to Haiti relief.

“Arcade Fire, Partners in Health, the NFL, Merge Records and Bank Robber Music have collectively agreed upon a unique 100% for charity Superbowl licensing of ‘Wake Up’ from the band’s 2004 album Funeral. All proceeds from the song’s airing on the live Superbowl broadcast and subsequent airings on the NFL Network will go directly to Partners In Health’s Stand With Haiti relief efforts.”

Pretty impressive!
